How to Register a Brand on Amazon

Amerify

Amazon Brand Registry is a brand-protection program. Its eligibility requirements are separate from permission to sell any particular product.

Check eligibility first

Amazon describes Brand Registry as a free program and accepts eligible registered or pending trademarks from designated trademark offices. Review the current Brand Registry requirements for the relevant country, trademark type, and brand representation before applying. Do not assume that every pending application qualifies.

Prepare a consistent evidence folder

  • The brand name exactly as it appears in the trademark record.
  • The trademark office, number, status, and relevant owner details.
  • Clear photographs showing the actual branding on products or packaging.
  • The people authorized to manage the brand and respond to verification requests.
  • A list of existing ASINs and any brand-name inconsistencies that need investigation.

Submit and track the application

Start from Amazon’s official program page and follow the application shown for your account. Review every field before submitting. Save the application reference and respond to verification requests through the official workflow. This guide does not promise a 10–14-day approval window.

After acceptance

Check each tool’s own eligibility requirements before planning around it. Access to brand protection does not mean that every advertising, review, or serialization program is automatically available. Assign an owner to monitor brand issues and maintain authorized-user access.

Avoid common preparation mistakes

Do not use digitally added branding as evidence of physical packaging. Resolve spelling differences and ownership questions before submission. For global operations, check the program’s supported offices and marketplace rules rather than assuming one country’s process applies everywhere.

Use the account’s current instructions as the final checklist. Your application should describe the business and product you actually operate.
